**2 refers to the high of an inflated balloon. 60 refers to the length. Am I correct? But what does the Q mean?

**the size is 260. Not sure if the 2 or 60 are meant to be measurements. The Q stands for the brand. Qualatex

**i cant blow my balloon all the way to the end or it will blow up... what do i do? ps i am using my brother's account cause i dont have one and im really interested in balloon animal making :)

**Try leaving a little air out. Make sure that when you tie the balloon, it is soft. You should be able to squeeze it with little resistance.

**You are right that a flower is not an animal. But the term "balloon animal" in current culture is used as a broad term to include anything made by twisting balloons.

**I think it's just more annoying to some people. I hate the sound of styrofoam squeaking but not this is not that bad for me.

**This is just fantastic. The way you let air out the re-tied the end through the rest of the petals blew the minds of me and the kids. Awesome!!!

**how do you squeeze a second colour in? I'm struggling to get more than four or five petals in and have them sitting neatly, it seems to squashed, is there a trick for the multicouloured design?

**Which our the best balloons out there that you have used so far that don't pop as much.

**How does one do this without cringing at the sound of the balloon folding? Do you just get used to that?

**Finding this video has made me a happy aunt! Amateur balloon hour here I come.

**How do I make the pedals using 2 different balloons?

**Try leaving a little air out. Make sure that when you tie the balloon, it is soft. You should be able to squeeze it with little resistance.

**the pedals aren't even!I'm getting the twisting part good, but it looks deformed!

**Did you over inflate the balloon? Most people over inflate and not get the twisting done right and you do need clean hands and a clean table or work area. Please look at other balloon artiest on You tube.

***Because you failed you want to blame Kelly for your lack of understanding how balloon twisting works! Don't tell it was a joke because what you said is not funny! You treat people the way you want others to treat you! Please note that I never sad any thing bad about you for the way your treated Kelly and many people would have I wish to set the example for you even if it don't work on you others will see this and hopeful learn something!

**6 petal flowers are advanced twisting because you have to make sure the balloon is VERY SOFT so it doesn't pop. Beginners should stick to 4 petals, that is, divide in half instead of thirds, fold and squish.

**Good design, but as you see form the comments below, it isn't quite easy enough for the beginners below.

**i tried the stem with 3 balloons and it popped how the heck did yours not pop when you were freakin squishing them!

**you do it so well, keep up the good work.

**This was a great how to video and the details of how many inches to allow at the end of the balloon made it so much easier to make. Thank you.

**I'm scare when the balloon bust.

**You need practice, but your right on with the design. Good job!

*This is how I make frogs when people ask for them at Birthday parties and other events. Pretty quick and easy plus he always gets a good response.

* great frog can I use it I was asked for a frog yesterday and your's is much better

*Holly Hopper how do u male the eyes if u don't have a small 5 inch balloon? But other than that awesome!!!

*Hi Holly.I love your programme I watched everyday at my lunch time. I want know what type of balloons you use.

*thanks for the videos , greetings from Greece!!!

* Great video! I make my frogs with a sitting body. For the tongue, I use an uninflated red 260 with tiny piece of a black 260 knotted on the end for a fly.
* Next time, for your next video, can you teach me how to make a SIMPLE monkey. I am only a beginner so please make it easy. I stink at twisting so please make it as least twisting as possible. I would really love it if you made a monkey. thanks.
* I do and happy to do so. Mouth inflating looks so cool but, unless you are making something that the public are not going anywhere near I use a floor pump or a Qualatex pump like Holly's. I have to say that the floor pump is great but the hand pump is more precise. You have already been told about the health issues with mouth inflation and it isn't just restricted to the child who gets the balloon. If it pops, the germs will disperse as an aerosol and could affect many people at once. R U Angry?

* no why would I be angry?? germs are good for people though. not too mutch to worry about mouth inflating. if you were to live in a sterile environment you would become very sick very quickly howard hughes is a great example of this. nice little frog though.

* It is the alcohol in the markers that causes the balloons to pop. Sharpies are what my fellow twisters and I use. They almost dry in a split second.

*
I thought that you had changed to whiteboard markers recently? I switched and have never looked back as they don't reliquify to the same extent and are now available in a decent range of colours.

Thanks for the upload Holly.

The fact is, that for a very long time I was unable to handle a balloon without destroying it (exaggeration intended!). Nonetheless, on my nephew's 5th birthday party, I decided to take up balloon twisting as a challenge. After several tries, I seemed to get into the groove of it. Below, I have discussed a few simple and free balloon twisting instructions. A graduation to tougher twists will be a piece of cake once you have mastered these.
.
First Balloon Twisting Shape - Dog
This is a very popular shape and one of the easiest to make. So, in case you are in a rush to impress a cutie, here is your cheat code.

* Take a 260 balloon and inflate it. At the tail end, leave 4 inches un-inflated. Don't ask me why, you will know in due course of time!
* Now, from the nozzle end, fold the balloon about six inches. Don't worry, it will not break!
* Now, squeeze the two parts of the folded balloon about 2 inches from the fold. Further, twist the squeezed portion. Two or three twists should do the trick. These are the ears of the doggy and the knot, is its nose.
* Now, the front and back legs. They are made the same way as the ears. Fold the balloon an inch below the twist that formed the ears. Twist the balloon to form the front legs of the dog.
* Last but not the least, fold the balloon 2 inches away from the twist that formed the front legs. Now, twist.

Your happy helper doggy is ready. Bow Wow!!

Second Balloon Twisting Shape - Sword
This shape is popular, if you have a major boy population at your party. Let's face it, pirates and knights need their swords, right? More so, the sword is the basic twist for many further twists.

* The first step is same as that for the dog, take a 260 balloon and inflate it. At the tail end, leave 4 inches un-inflated. I hope by now, you know why the "4 inches un-inflated".
* Now, from the nozzle end, fold the balloon about six inches.
* Now, squeeze the two parts of the folded balloon about 2 inches from the fold. Further, twist the squeezed portion. Two or three twists should do the trick. Make sure that the knotted end is collinear to the tail end. This forms one side of the handle of your sword.
* Just below the previous twist, fold and twist the balloon again. Your second side of the handle is ready.

Your dangerous weapon of bravery and chivalry is ready. Touche!!

Third Balloon Twisting Shape - Mouse
This is a very cute shape. It has been known to bring a smile to a sullen face. More so, it has the mickey mouse appeal to it, so that's what you can cash on!

* Take a size 260 long balloon. Inflate only half of it. The remaining un-inflated half will be the long mouse tail.
* Make three circles at the top of the balloon, 1 and 1/2 inch in size.
* Bend two of the circles and twist the two that are beside each other.
* Repeat the the previous point.
* Now, with the remaining inflated portion, make four 1 and 1/2 inch circles. Bend two of the four circles over and twist the first two circles.

Voila! Your little mouse-y is ready to rumble!!

Bonus Balloon Twisting Shape - Giraffe
This one is a piece of cake. It is similar to the dog. So follow the instructions:

* Take a 260 balloon and inflate it. At the tail end, leave 4 inches un-inflated.
* Now, from the nozzle end, fold the balloon about six inches.
* Now, squeeze the two parts of the folded balloon about 2 inches from the fold. Further, twist the squeezed portion. Two or three twists should do the trick. These are the ears of the giraffe, and the knot, is its nose.
* Now, the front and back legs. They are made the same way as the ears. Fold the balloon a few inches below the twist that formed the ears. Twist the balloon to form the front legs of the giraffe.
* Last but not the least, fold the balloon 2 inches away from the twist that formed the front legs. Now, twist.

You will notice that we kept a longer neck as compared to that of the dog. So enjoy, your giraffe is ready!

When I took it up, it took me a while to master it. So, be patient with yourself, while following these balloon twisting tips, if this is your initial attempt. Practice makes perfect, right? This is where I sign off! Happy Twisting!
